The Paihia Coastal Challenge is a new event by TotalSport for 2014 as part of the new Coastal Challenge series. There are multiple start locations with all events finishing at "The Pub Round the Corner" in Russell.
The event options are:
- Beach Hopper – 6km Run / Walk (starts at Oneroa Bay)
- Bay Scrambler – 13km Run / Walk (starts at Paroa Bay)
- Mini Monty – 20km Run / Walk (starts at Clendon Cove)
- Mid Monty – 25km Run (starts at Dicks Bay)
- Full Monty – 34km Run & Teams Relay Run (starts at Parorenui Beach)
