The Bombay Pioneer Settlers Fun Run is an annual Half Marathon, 10km and 5km in Bombay, Auckland.

This event is run by the Bombay Lions Club to celebrate the arrival of the ship "Bombay" from England. The "Bombay" was towed into Auckland by the warship "Curacoa" having lost a large portion of her masts and rigging in a terrible storm off the coast of New Zealand. She arrived on 18th March 1865 carrying 400 assisted immigrants destined for the area now called Bombay where they were to settle on their promised 10 acre allotments.

To reach their new home they travelled along the Great South Road from Drury to Bombay, a road that had a short time before been completed by the army. You will be running or walking the path they would have travelled.
