The Longbeach Coastal Challenge has a 21km off road half marathon run, and 5km and 12km off road run/walk events and some mountain bike events which are not covered here in this running calendar.
These events start and finish at Tannaghmore Farm on the south side of the Hinds River, south east of Ashburton. The half marathon takes participants across a varied terrain of gravel road, single track, wide flowing grass track and trails. The 12km is predominantly on gravel roads and wide, flowing farmland tracks.
